The Messiah...

OT prophesies

Someone once catalogued four hundred and fifty-six seperate prophecies concerning the coming of the Messiah to the Jewish people.

Peter Stoner wrote an article for 'Science Speaks' (Moody Press, 1963) in which he considered eight of them....

Using the modern science of probability in reference to these eight prophesies - 'We find that the chances that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophesies is one to the seventeenth power.' This would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. What chance would there be in filfilling 456 prophesies?

It would be impossible for the prophets who had written those eight prophesies to have them all come true in any one man, from their day to this present time, had they written them from their own wisdom.

This short page was produced verbatim (word for word) from a photocopied sheet I have had in my possession for many years. I have not read the original Moody Press document.
